SOL Review 2

You must read the directions careful for each section. On your paper, make sure to number the sections and answer the questions for each section.

Section A:  Click on the website (https://www.quia.com/rr/332704.html) and play the Inferences and Drawing Conclusion game. Play the game until you at least reach $500.00 or more. Write down how much money you won, must have at least $500 written down.

Section B:  Click on the website (https://www.brainpop.com/science/energy/fossilfuels/) then log into the webpage, username: cms02 password: cmsbrainpop02 press “movie” listen to the movie then press “quiz”, then press “graded” and take the test. How did you do? Do not log out of the site since you will be using it again. Then return to this webpage.

Section C:  Click on the website (https://www.brainpop.com/science/energy/naturalresources/) press “movie” listen to the movie then press “quiz”, then press “graded” and take the test. How did you do? Then return to this webpage.

Section D:  Click on the website (https://www.brainpop.com/science/ourfragileenvironment/humansandtheenvironment/) press “movie” listen to the movie then press “quiz”, then press “graded” and take the test. How did you do? Then return to this webpage.

Section E:  Click on the website (https://orise.orau.gov/stem/documents/k-12/harnessed-atom/build-an-atom/index.html), press “start”, go through and answer each question that is asked about Helium. How did you do? Then return to this webpage.

Section F:  VOID

Section G:  http://www.kineticcity.com/mindgames/warper/), press “start” follow the directions, go through the process of weathering different environments at least 5 times. How did you do at weathering? Did you get at least 5 out of 5 tries? Then return to this webpage.

Section H:  Click on the website (http://www.glencoe.com/sites/common_assets/science/virtual_labs/ES14/ES14.html), read the information on the left hand side of the page. Then use the slider on the left of the picture and do the following.

Set the altitude to 25 and press “launch” What layer did it reach? What were the temperature and the pressure at that altitude?

Set the altitude to 80 and press “launch” What layer did it reach? What were the temperature and the pressure at that altitude?

Set the altitude to 200 and press “launch” What layer did it reach? What were the temperature and the pressure at that altitude?

Set the altitude to 400 and press “launch” What layer did it reach? What were the temperature and the pressure at that altitude?

As you travel up through the layers of the atmosphere (or altitude) what happens to air pressure?

Section I:  Click on the website (https://learn.weatherstem.com/modules/learn/lessons/69/index.html) follow the directions by pressing the word next at the top of the page. Answer the questions as you go and write down your answers. (Questions start at slide 10, make sure to read the slides before 10) After slide 15 return to this page.

Section J: Click on the website (https://www.edumedia-sciences.com/en/media/216-sun-earth-moon), press play to see the earth rotating and revolving around the sun. Then return to this page.

Click on the website (http://www.softschools.com/quizzes/science/astronomy_rotation_and_revolution/quiz446.html), click on “click here to take test” How many did you get right?

Section K: Click on the website (https://www.exploratorium.edu/ronh/age/w.exploratorium.edu/ronh/age/) write down your birthday for each planet, sun & white dwarf and neutron star.
